Behind this painting was a desire to explore the worlds and realms in which people and animals are deeply, spiritually connected. On the physical plane of this Earth it may be hard to come by an opportunity where you and a bear can gaze calmly and lovingly into one another's eyes, but my belief is that this expression of love exists energetically, and both animals and humans are able to exist in that space. This image is a visual representation of what I believe is at the core of all living beings -- love, respect, and unity. This drawing speaks to my desire for a better world, a world in which humans live full-time in that space of love and respect. It is my belief that the earth and its beings hold this vision as well, and are patiently waiting for us to arrive home to our hearts.
